FHE group activites

When we were first called the bishop asked us if we could initiate some kind of FHE activity every now and then to get ward members more involved. Here are the notes we came up with to implement this plan.

FHE Group activity

-once a month, family volunteer by sign-ups.
-familes will only know wither they are hosting or doing activity until day of FHE.
-they will find out family they will be grouping with as a surprise on the day of FHE.
-One family will host and activity, the other will do lesson and treat.
-Once a month, families can always take their names off, or add their names on each month as time permits to participate.
-sign-up sheet will be passed around starting next Sunday (Sept 27), and be passed around for 3 weeks before the activity will begin.

We also talked about possibly having a ward volleyball night later in the year when intramurals are over.

Christmas Party!

Ward Campout!

It's a long way off, but we wanted to touch on a few things to make sure that things run smoothly as we prepare for it.

We really like the location up Tibble Fork in American Fork canyon. There are group sites up there with bathrooms, picnic tables, a playing field, grills, and a fire pit. It also has a nice stream running through it, and is in a beautiful location fully covered with evergreens and aspens.
-We will need to reserve the location in early January.
-Amy and Jim will be scouting out the area for the best site this fall for approval.
